Who Wants to be a Millionaire? Me! Part 2

Back in July last year, I tried out for the television game show Who Wants to be a Millionaire, and a few weeks later, I received a postcard informing me that I’d been chosen for the contestant pool.

After I received the postcard, the days flew. I kept feeling phantom vibrations from my phone because I was expecting to receive the call any day telling me that I needed to pack my bags and fly to New York for the taping.

Weeks, then months passed, and I had pretty much forgotten about the whole thing, when, shortly after Thanksgiving, I had a call from a 212 number.

It was the crew from Millionaire. They wanted me in New York the next Monday. I quickly rearranged my schedule, booked tickets and a hotel, and off we went to New York to tape the show.

I’ll skip over the details of the actual taping process, though if you want to ask questions, feel free to do so in the comments.

But, here’s a little proof that I was actually there!

I have finally found out when I will be appearing!

My episode will appear on May 6, 2014. Check your local listings!

If you live the Fort Worth or Dallas area, you can watch NBC DFW, Channel 5 at 1 PM.

We will also hold a viewing party at Bar Louie on West 7th in Fort Worth.

I can’t tell you how much I may or may not have won. You’ll have to watch to find out.

But, I can tell you this.

I’m donating 50% of whatever I win to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Millionaire will mail me my check 30 days after the episode airs, and as soon as I get it, I’ll make that donation.

Keep your fingers crossed that I don’t get a bunch of television and pop culture questions!

In the meantime, here’s another game show video to keep you occupied!
